After a long Winnipeg winter, it is tempting to try to clean the entire house in one day. A better plan is to choose the work that will make the biggest difference and give each room enough time.
Start with a walk-through
Write down what needs attention in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and shared rooms. Look for obvious buildup, crowded surfaces and areas that have been hard to reach over winter. Group tasks into must-do, useful and optional.
Clear before you clean
Move small items off counters and shelves so you can wipe the surfaces. Put away seasonal gear and recycle packaging. Cleaning around clutter takes longer and gives a less satisfying result.
Work through the key rooms
In the kitchen, focus on sink, counters, cabinet fronts and floors. In bathrooms, check fixtures, mirrors, tub or shower and tile. In living spaces, dust reachable surfaces, then vacuum or mop. Save inside appliances, windows and wall washing as separately planned detail tasks.
Leave room for the unexpected
Grease, hard-water deposits or years of buildup can take longer than expected. If you are booking a deep clean, send a short priority list or photos so the team can estimate the time. A two-hour visit can make a real difference when the scope is focused; a whole-house deep clean may need longer.
